Based on Sofitel's French heritage and Thailand's longstanding relationship with France, the sculptural chandelier reflects the traditional Thai gesture of greetings, known as the "Wai," which symbolizes respect and friendship between the two nations. The Wai gesture involves a slight bow accompanied by the pressing together of palms in a prayer-like manner.
We have aptly epitomized this gesture by arranging with precision two delicate petals from the orchid flower, imparting an illusionary pe
